Montefortino helmet (replica inspired to the original finding in Les Matres de Veyres)

Material: bronze with a thickness of 1,5 mm

Origin: Replica of the Montefortino helmet type found in Les Matres de Veyres (France) and now in the Museum of Clermont Ferrand; according to the study of John M. Paddock its dating is in the first half of the third century BC. It is an Italian-made helmet, like almost all specimens with the same dating, or – given the rough execution of the decorations – of a specimen produced locally, but, however, strongly inspired by the Italian production of that period.
