Replica inspired by the pugio found in the Roman site of Exeter (England)
Material: The blade is with tempered steel K720. Scabbard in iron, wood and leather, handle with iron and wood facets.
Origin: This finding is mentioned in the Roman Military Equipment by M.C Bishop & J.C.N. Coulston and also in the “Pugio Gladius Brevis est” by M. Saliola and F. Casprini (exhibit F35 page 127). These sources only contain information about the site and drawing of the scabbard.
